Caribbean!

Lance and I are coming up on our FIFTH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY! Holy Crap, I'm getting old. So every year we have celbrated minimally, usually dinner at home that we make together and maybe a small date later, and that's why this year we decided we better get a way while we still could. First of all, none of this would have been possible without my AMAZING MIL!! When I called to timidly ask if she would watch our kids while we were away she didn't hesitate a second before agreeing.

So our trip was INCREDIBLE. We went to Miami, FL to visit the sights of Lance's mission, and then jumped on a cruise ship to the BAHAMAS!!
WE HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES!
Ahhh, I wish I was back there already!
Our first stop in Nassau. Beware most of the pics are the ghetto hold-your-arm-out-as-far-as-you-can-photos...

This is on the bus on the way to the fish fry. Probably the BEST FOOD I've EVER tasted--really EVER! AHH, fried Conch (pronounced CONCK on the island), fried shrimp, fried grouper, and Conch hush puppy-like appetizers. But the bus was the funniest. as the bus fills the aisle gets taken up by these hide-a-way seats so the aisle disappears. So safe, especially the way Bahamians drive.

Check out the clear water!

Enjoying a fresh coconut, and it was gross. Just not ripe enough. Posted by Picasa

What a fun time! I'm with you about the coconut--we tried them in Hawaii and it tasted like wet dog. Seriously. SO GROSS. Utter nast.

Hey, if age is dependent on how long you've been married, then I must be younger than you! Heh heh. Seriously, though, I'm not.

What a fun anniversary trip! We'll be 5 years next year...I guess that's a good excuse for another trip! Oh, wait, we have this thing called a "mortgage."
