Grace 5, Sydney 2

Two of my three girls share a birthday.  Yes, I was induced with Syd, so I kind of had a choice.  Although, the choice was to wait a week until my Dr. got back into town OR share a birthday.  I was done being preggo, so I chose for the girls to share, and they love it.  It was Grace's year to have a big party.  She chose a "Tangled" theme.  Thanks to the internet, someone else planned the party and I got to copy it!  (I really love the internet!! and the wonderful lady who let me copy her party!)

Would you believe it took THREE adults about an hour to braid 18 feet of Rapunzel's hair?  But, it was sure cute, and so worth it!

Jello Boats

The tower cake
the girls at the food table.  Grace has some really good friends.  They are all really sweet girls!

Homemade birthday banner (thanks to my old friend, Megan for helping me with the circles!)

The girls colored pictures of Rapunzel and Flynn  to wait for their other friends to arrive.

We played pin the frying pan on Flynn (thanks to Bella for getting us the poster!)

Pascal making (see below too)

After the good were eaten, and sun cookies decorated, we went out front to light the lanterns.

Good thing my dad was around to help!!  We tied yarn to the lantern so it wouldn't really fly away and we came close to lighting a couple of buses on fire.  But I had the hose ready and doused a couple of wildly lanterns.
We had such a fun time.  Thanks to Grace's friends for making her day so special!

All three got a pillow pet on the girls' birthday.  How could we leave Kams out?

Just so Sydney wasn't left out, we got her an Oreo cake to celebrate her as well.  She's got the sweetest little face!

Kamryn is 3

Kamryn's only request was a birthday party was PINK.  ALL of the guests showed up in their pinks to celebrate!

I think it was perfectly pink in every way and just perfect too!

just dance

Beware if you are to visit, we have a lot of dance parties over here.
any music in hearing range means costumes are on and the dance party has started.

Gracie has a mean robot, she will beat you.

4th in Vegas

We spend the 4th of July in Vegas with the DeWitts.  We had such a great time, so good I kept forgetting to take out the camera!!  We went to Bullhead City for the 4th of July parade.  It was CRAZY fun!!  The boys planned ahead and brought 200+ water balloons, plenty of water guns and 3 big coolers full of water/ammo.  After the first half of the parade the second half is a big water fight.  It was all fun and games until some idiot (driving in the parade) hit a teenager (equally idiotic) and the ambulance and fire truck (actually already in the parade but at the end) were brought to the scene and the water fight was outlawed!  BOO! But we had a great time while it lasted.

Of course I had to make the traditional flag cake.  Pretty good considering I was out of town and didn't have all of my supplies.

the kids awaiting the fireworks show

The show started about 20 minutes late, so we had to entertain them somehow!
We climbed up a hill next to the freeway fence and had the BEST view of the fireworks that were just across the freeway.
Thanks for hosting, DeWitts!  Can't wait until next year!

Father's Day 2011

Lance is such a good daddy.  It seems like it comes so natural to him.  He doesn't mind at all being outnumbered, except when we have moments of extreme emotion involving EVERYONE!  He is so proud of his little ladies and is always thinking of ways to teach them how to be their best selves.  We sure love our Daddy!
Happy Father's Day!

Recent Craftifying

Did you like that word?  Cratifying??  Thanks to my friend, Jen who has monthly girls craft nights I have been able to get my craft on.  I love spending time with the girls AND creating something fun.  The  USA wreath is made with red hots and man did it take a LOT of "Bachelorette" viewings to finish the entire thing!!
