Happy Halloweeney!

Why not start the day with Halloweeney pancakes with peanut butter and syrup. YUMMY!

Love, love, love that the school put on a Halloween party for the families! We had so much fun! We were having so much fun that we didn't start trick-or-treating until 7:45 and we went to exactly 4 homes. It was perfect enough to get our fill for Gracie to have fun and we got rid of all of our candy to passer-bys at the same time!

So grateful for a patient little girl that let me curl her hair, until I got it exactly right.
Is that Belle?

G, Kaylee, and McKenna (Kenna also won the best girl costume and took home the new Tinkerbell movie!)
I had to include the monkey! our cute sisters.

The nude artist hard at work. G won the pumpkin painting contest and took home a fisher price medical kit. Don't worry we let her hold her prize (and hug it) and we are definitely taking it home, wrapping it up and sticking it under the Christmas tree!

More Angels

Bad Mommy =Poor Kami

I did the unthinkable and didn't strap my daughter in her seat and had the seat on top of our chest freezer...

yes, put your jaw back in place, but it did happen and I take full responsibility. she wiggled her self down, and leaned far enough forward that the car seat tipped forward and Kami and seat went hurling towards the floor. Then I couldn't get a hold of Lance at school, G is breaking down for nap, and of course Kami is screaming. What do I do?? Run to the neighbors!

One calls Lance, and knocks on the door of another. Neighbor #2 runs over to watch Gracie, while neighbor #1 and I give up on getting through to Lance and jump in the car to find him at school, and sits with me while she gets checked out by our fav chiropractic intern and Lance. THEN neighbor #3 makes us dinner! oh yeah and #2 cleaned my living room/kitchen while we were gone! Seriously don't deserve all of this but GREATLY appreciate it!

Thank you friends for dropping everything at a moment's notice to help our family. Bless you!

May you learn from my mistake and NEVER leave your infant UNbuckled 3-feet off the ground.

Lesson learned.

We LOVE when friends come to visit!

Meet Brooklyn:

she is a DOLL! and she just got her ears pierced.

I think she and kami will be BEST FRIENDS!
By the way Brookey is BIGGER and YOUNGER!

Lance is in baby girl HEAVEN, I think he would be happy even if we had all girls!

I think Gracie likes to swing. Think so?

This is Lukas. He is our buddy AND G's official boyfriend.

Peek-a-boo!

Thanks for the fun, Dewitts! We sure missed you Brian, you better come next time!! By the way...anyone that wants to visit allegiant air offers cheap flights from mesa-gateway to Eugene, OR (not too far). and when I mean cheap it gets as low as $29!!!! COME VISIT!

Down on the farm

Letter to an Angel

Dear Diesel,

(yes, DIESEL). I assume you don't work near the airport. You thought you were pretty tricky telling me that work is not far from here, but I know better. You knew I wouldn't have made it from the train to the bus stop to the ticket counter without some serious help and help navigating. You are an angel. May God bless you for your kindness and quick thinking to help a mom in need.

May many blessings be poured upon your head,

"desperate-mom-with-way-too-much-luggage"

P.S. to all other readers:
I have new found hope for our children and our future. This stranger saw me on the train, airport bound, with baby and luggage in tow and without a second thought picked up my stroller and luggage and lugged it from the train, down the street to the bus stop, waited with me, then put me on the correct bus, rode with me, got me off at the correct terminal, and walked me all the way up the to the ticket counter where the airline worker was able to help me check my bags. He said he was on his way to work but it would be ok, because I needed help! With people in the world like Diesel, the world is truly a better place.

Sometimes things don't change

This is a good thing.
I also consider staying up all night giggling and talking a good thing, although the next morning I swore I was too old to not get enough sleep.
Eating cookie dough and jamming to the old (and new) tunes, this is good too.

Spending every waking, and sleeping, moment with Kami and Janey--a good thing, and very fun too!

Walking endlessly around the city, good for my body and my brain (to recall all of the historical significance) this is good.

Man, this girl was good. I was talking about Kami, but I should take the opportunity to thank Janey too! Girl, you are the best! Thanks for making a vacation happen. I always look forward to our vaca's. I had the time of my life and seriously thought I was 19 again. Love, love, love the new place and can't wait to visit again. Until next time... in Oregon?
Why doesn't the treasury building get more visitors?

Contemplating Lincoln and his contributions to our time.

You would make a funny face too if you had to snuggle Kami, and comfort her during the drum solos, for the entire duration of the concert. To Jane Monheit, my fav jazz singer and probably fav singer ever: thanks for the incredible evening. The song you sang about your son, ditto for me and my daughter. Thanks for looking right at Kami and me just at the right moment. You are still my fav and sound even better in person than on CD. LOVE YOU!

Kami is 4 months

Holy Cow how time flies! Kami hit 4 months this week and had her first taste of cereal.

She LOVED chewing the spoon, but of course is not really sure what to do once the cereal is in her mouth.

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!

This was what we came home to after church! We were soaked just from walking the 2 feet from the garage cover to the covered porch! Gracie sure had fun playing in it though!
